  • Drive the creation of narratives for themed entertainment and VR experiences. Brainstorm and create storylines, characters, backstories and nomenclature. Write treatments, show scripts, operational guides, website copy and other internal documents. 

  • Collaborate with art director on design, look, building materials and overall feel of the experience. Develop sensory — smell, sound, touch, lighting cues — of the attraction and provide inspirational materials/research as needed. 

  • Coordinate the translation of show documentation. Work with a freelance translator to revise pitch decks and show documents into Mandarin Chinese. Assist with revisions for alternative phrases and words. 

  • Developed, wrote and revised narrative/story/scene and digital platform elements for a 3-day immersive spy experience in New York City.

Undercover Tourist / Austin, TX / November 2016 - November 2017

  • Initiated the creation of new blog topics. Reviewed competitor posts, search engine results and blog comments to identify content gaps. Researched and wrote blogs on identified topics. New posts increased overall website traffic and received positive customer feedback. 

  • Drove the media post-production efforts for all video projects, including color-correction, motion graphics, codecs and delivery to social media. Created post-production schedule and assigned projects to freelance videographers and editors. Resulted in a timely delivery of edits and no missed deadlines.

  • Built a new content calendar schedule. Developed a 3-month plan of daily posts, highlighting due dates, revisions and publication. Resulted in a timely delivery of posts from freelance bloggers and no days without new content for publication. 

  • Developed new customer-facing video concepts to showcase the companies unique travel tips and products. Created, wrote and produced proof of concept videos for a new in-park series. Executive produced a video series that explored partner hotels. This series resulted in increased bookings at profiled locations. 

  • Implemented an Instagram Stories strategy for covering live events. Researched strategies and reviewed competitor offers to develop a multi-step plan. Collaborated with social media manager and on-site blogger to the refine plan. Strategy resulted in increased viewership and engagement during and after event. 

  • Conceptualized a weekly Facebook Live show - Tips From the Pond - to engage the company’s growing Facebook presence. The show would have provided weekly vacation planning tips and answered submitted questions. 


Round Rock ISD / Round Rock, TX / March 2013 -November 2016

  • Established the district’s first video content creation department. Began the district’s YouTube channel, developed the video brand voice principles and designed the video content strategy.

  • Created 90+ videos that celebrated public education, recruiting, training, program marketing, educator stories, multi-camera interview shows and documentary videos. The videos resulted in increased donations, membership and other targeted results. People cried when they watched them too.   

  • Performed all production elements — scriptwriting, casting, crewing, scheduling, budgeting, on-location or in-studio lighting, motion graphics  — for video shoots. Established client review meetings/review pipeline to deliver high-quality and memorable productions in a deadline-driven environment. 

  • Performed as on-camera host and voice over narration. 

  • Won four TSPRA Star Awards - 2013 (Gold) “The Art of Serving” and 2014 (Silver) “Wonder” and (Bronze) “Discover Your District” and “Part of the Arts”.

  • Implemented processes to streamline production duties. Created production schedule, calendar, budgeting and handling of production documents. This process resulted in a faster overall production cycle with no missed deadlines.

  • Supervised team member and interns. Mentored and coached peers, district educators and students with a variety of video projects used for events, social media, website, classroom instruction, professional development and more.  

  • Participated in the development, provided video content and photographed/recorded district events —  Graduation, World Class Summit, Kickoff, Empty Bowls Festival and more. 

  • Supervised the broadcast of monthly board meetings. Set up furniture, podium, audio equipment, power connections and district presentations. Served as photographer during board recognitions. Operated cameras, monitored audio and fixed streaming issues as needed. 

  • Collaborated with marketing team to guide district branding guidelines and best practices. Established brand identity in video through typography, messaging style, production quality and visual elements. 

  • Worked with all levels of the organization, — Superintendent of Schools, Board Members, administrators, campus principals and educators, PTA, Partners in Education — on various video productions. 

  • Oversaw the ADA, FERPA, clearance, copyright, and closed captioning compliance of all video productions.
